"Prima Princessa Presents the Nutcracker" is a Parents' Choice award winning 60 minute Christmas Special for children 3-6, where the viewers are encouraged to put on their pretty tutus and get up and dance along as the cartoon fairy Prima Princessa takes a group of preschoolers on a magical adventure to see a live performance of the Nutcracker Ballet, featuring England’s world famous Birmingham Royal Ballet. Prima Princessa delightfully narrates the story so that preschool children can understand the plot, and between acts, they have a mini-dance lesson learning ballet steps from students at SAB, the official academy of the New York City Ballet. Parents who are seeking fun preschool activities to do at home with their children will love this DVD full of dancing and arts and crafts for kids too!
"Prima Princessa Presents The Nutcracker definitely brings the beauty and wonder of ballet to DVD. Even though Jaina had seen the Nutcracker live, she was still amazed watching this DVD. She laughed, danced and learned the names of the ballet steps. She danced around the living room and practiced saying the names of the steps while trying to do them. I love that the Nutcracker is interactive, your child can follow along and not only is it fun, it is educational. Here is a little video of Jaina and how engaged she was watching this DVD."
