My two kids and I spent 2 hours waiting in line a few days ago for this adorable little Cake Boss Thanksgiving cake.
We only live about 20 minutes from Hoboken, the NJ city where the Carlos Cake Boss Bakery is located so it seems like a fun little outing to do with the kids. We all enjoy the Cake Boss show.
When we first got on the line the woman ahead of us said she heard it would be 45 minutes. Not sure I would have stood in line if I had known how long it would be. It took just about and hour to get into the bakery and then another hour of waiting once in there before we could get any baked goods. Right off the bat we were able to buy a few sweatshirts. They only had one cash register going and people were placing all sorts of complicated orders for all sorts of cookies and more which really slowed things down.
TIP: If you plan to go I would suggest getting there as early as possible, not around lunch time right before a holiday like we did. Better yet, sign up for one of the cake decorating course or if you are a really big fan and want a really special cake, call up and see about getting a specialty cake consultation appointment The bakery is located on a big street in Hoboken with fun shops and restaurants if you have any time after your wait to poke around. There are some parking garages around. We got lucky and found street parking.
This little cake was delicious. My in-laws all arrived Wednesday and we all dug into for a little Thanksgiving warm up.
