My kids love smoothies and this is one of their favorites. I find smoothies are a great way to get those fruits in during the winter when grocery stocks are limited. My little princess is often not the biggest eater, so I like to make these for her breakfast as I know she'll always eat them. The yogurt makes it more filling so they have more energy for running, jumping and dancing!
Fill blender a little over 2/3 full of the following:
About 2 cups frozen mango
1 banana cut in pieces
Apricot or Orange Juice to cover fruit
3 large spoonfuls of plain yogurt. Don't use vanilla flavor, it will spoil the taste and most vanilla yogurt has fake vanilla flavoring anyhow. Who needs that. There is no need to add sugar to this. If you prefer it a bit sweeter, add more banana.
Blend and serve! Left overs make great frozen popsicles.
You can mess around with this recipe adding all sort of different frozen fruits. I just think it is good to always throw in a banana as it sweetens it nicely and to avoid fruit which is too large and chunky as it is hard to blend in the belnder..
